Ride Information
Dear Riders and Parents:
We are so happy that you have decided to ride in the Battle Against Hunger Children's Bike Ride. Your participation in this event helps to spread the awareness of the needs of New Jersey's less fortunate. Our goal is for each child to have a wonderful time while helping others at this educational event! Although the securing of pledges from friends and family is not required, we are thankful for any donations received. Since 2006, we have raised over $8,000 of which 100% has gone directly to help feed the hungry.
The Ride:
The Battle Against Hunger Children's Bike Ride consists of a short route which circles around the Toll Gate Elementary School in Pennington, NJ. Each rider will receive a colorful Battle Against Hunger sticker for their bike or helmet with each "lap" they complete.
The ride begins at East Curlis Ave, turns right onto East Welling Ave, turns right to the front of the school along Main St. then back to East Curlis. There will be adults positioned along the route and adult riders to monitor participants. An abridged route has also been designated for our youngest participants.
Remember that ALL participants must wear appropriate protective gear when riding their bicycle, tricycle or scooter. Because your safety is important to us, we reserve the right to refuse riding privileges to anyone without appropriate safety gear. Parents of riders 3-6 must walk or ride next to their child for their safety. Water bottles are encouraged! Please be prepared for appropriate medical needs should your child suffer from allergies or asthma.
We look forward to seeing you. Registration begins at 8:00 am on the E. Curlis side of Toll Gate Grammar School, with the official start of the ride at 8:30 am. Please fill out the registration, disclaimer and pledge forms and bring them with you the day of the ride, along with your $5.00 registration fee and pledges.
THANK YOU!
