Please join us as we continue our quest to raise awareness and funds to help fight the battle against hunger!
The 2010 Bike Tour was a huge success! Over 30 riders traveled a 200-mile route raising over $80,000.00 as well as public awareness of the hunger problem in our area! This year, our bike tour event will begin once again in Gettysburg, PA on September 9, 2011. The riders will travel over 200 miles, arriving at Cadwalader Park in Trenton NJ on September 11. Check it out! and Check out our 2010 Bike Tour Photo Gallery!
2011 was also a successful year for our 6th annual Children's Bike Ride. Our Children's Bike tour, ridden on a closed course in Pennington, NJ, once again proved to be a popular event. Over 50 children of all ages participated. Thanks to Battle volunteers John and Pam Krisulewicz for another successful event. Watch this page for details on next year's Children's Ride for Hunger!
The 2009 2nd annual Kinny's Walk was also a great success! Over 100 walkers enjoyed a beautiful day at the Mercer County Park Marina and raised funds for hunger relief. The park was alive with festivities as walkers enjoyed music, games, and other fun activities. Local hunger agencies were on hand to provide information on hunger needs in our area. Over the past 2 years, our walkers have raised donations totalling over $37,000.00. We'd like to extend a special thanks to Woodside Presbyterian Church in Yardley, PA for their sponsorship and generous donation of over $5,000.00.
