An event for all ages!   Held at beautiful Mercer County Park, Kinny's Walk was attended by hundreds in 2008 and 2009!   Walk participants raised funds for hunger relief for our area's most needy citizens. Truly an event for the entire family, participants walked from 1 to 3k on a designated trail that highlighted the parks' beauty.

Participants and park visitors enjoyed live music, pony rides, sand art and other fun activities. Meeting representatives of the agencies who receive funds gave our visitors the opportunity to learn about hunger in New Jersey. Burgers and Hot Dogs were available at family friendly prices allowing for everyone to spend a great day in the park!

The walk, in memory and honor of our partner and guiding light Kinny Gallup, raised over $37,000 in the past 2 years!  In 2009, Woodside Presbyterian Church of Yardley, PA sponsored a walk and generously donated $5,000, funds put to good use by the agencies on the front line!

Unfortunately, this year we are unable to host Kinny's Walk due to unforeseen situations experienced by members of the Kinny's Walk planning Board.

We intend to host the 3rd Annual Kinny's Walk in 2011!   We are excited to begin planning this fun event that provides important funds for hunger relief.  We are actively seeking volunteers interested in working with our planning board on the 2011 Walk!

Although we will not be hosting the Walk this June, hunger never takes a holiday!  Donations are always greatly appreciated and can be made online.

Thank you for your support!

Please check back for updates….looking forward to seeing you in 2011!

Proceeds from Kinny's Walk aid area agencies in handling the immediate needs of residents throughout New Jersey who are suffering with the ravages of hunger.

Kingsley H. Gallup, known as Kinny to family and friends, was a great humanitarian who gave willingly of her time and energy to many causes that negatively affect our fellow residents.

Her knowledge of the struggle that many area residents deal with daily to provide nutritious food for themselves and their families prompted her to challenge Chuck Inman, founder of the Battle Against Hunger, to a call of action. With Kinny's encouragement and support, Chuck founded the Battle Against Hunger in 2003.
